Careen Joseph
Madam Chair
I am Careen Joseph, the Vice President (Safeguarding Adults and Children) of Cognition HR and Finance Solutions Ltd. I specialise in setting up and providing strategic leadership in complex safeguarding HR projects for public, private and voluntary organisations. In 2017 my life changed, and I suffered from economic and post-separation abuse. Instead of seeing myself as a victim, I was determined to become a survivor. I read Ephesians 6, “The Armor of God”. God told me,” Careen, Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God”.
This inspired me to design a new concept within my field called Global Radical HR. Global Radical HR is a fusion of spiritual law, man-made law, psychology, Social Policy and continuous personal and professional development via operating with the 3G and 3P Cognitive Mindset within businesses. I look at problems from a Clinical, Criminal and Spiritual perspective to provide sound commercial solutions for public, private, and voluntary safeguarding projects. Using the 3G and 3P mindset means I seek solutions “Globally”, act with ‘Good integrity”, and display true “Grit” to manage HR safeguarding projects.
When Becky shared her vision with me while volunteering for Press Red, we soon realised we were both on the same mission and agreed to provide commercial strategic leadership for Beauty for Ashes to bring Becky’s vision to reality. The first step to freedom is the hardest to take, but you must never look back once you are ready to accept your calling.
